So why Awen? 

Awen is a beautifully uplifting word that we feel reflects our Welsh roots, proud heritage and culture and means inspiration, energy and creative flow, which hopefully you agree suits us perfectly. 

So who are Awen? 

Awen is built on the solid foundations established by Awen back in 2008, when it was created to take on the stock owned and managed by Monmouthshire County Council. 

Over the past 18 years as Awen we have significantly grown and have recently expanded to provide homes in neighbouring counties. 

Building on these great foundations, our new brand is a positive step, aimed at opening more doors to partnerships, ultimately making it possible for more people to have a place they are proud to call home. 

We don’t just stop there, we create communities where people can thrive and feel safe. So, we have lots of extra support on hand for customers who might need it, ranging from financial advice to support to help people live independently. 

Where you will find us 

Our roots remain in beautiful rural Monmouthshire where we own and manage more than 4200 homes.  Our quest to deliver more affordable homes, and play a bigger part in tackling the housing crisis, has seen us recently expand into Newport and Torfaen. 

Our customers and Awen team of over 250 staff are at the heart of everything we do, and we are proud to consistently achieve one of the highest customer satisfaction ratings in this sector in Wales.
